I saw a video where Ralph Bakshi said that he didn't care about if the animation was good or bad. He said, "I'm just gonna animate!" The rest is history. This blog is recording my progression. At the moment I'm using Flipbook Lite as my animation program. Enjoy your stay!Dorseytuneshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05150640104758811144noreply@blogger.comBlogger9125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-267849435494925316.post-78235475775742906872011-12-20T08:54:00.000-08:002011-12-20T08:59:49.475-08:00<a class="profile-name-link" href="http://www.blogger.com/profile/16358147858891647630" rel="author">Sandro Cleuzo</a> posted some <a href="http://inspectorcleuzo.blogspot.com/2011/12/what-bull.html">great drawing of the bulldog</a> from Lady And The Tramp. It's very short, but a great study.<br /><br /><iframe title="YouTube video player" class="youtube-player" type="text/html" width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/K3ykaPJj0Po" frameborder="0" allowFullScreen></iframe>Dorseytuneshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05150640104758811144noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-267849435494925316.post-28418779090706656532010-09-16T12:39:00.001-07:002010-09-16T13:26:54.415-07:00I thought I'd give this mouse walk cycle that Don Bluth posted on his website to learn from. Tried to get the secondary motion with the hair. Still needs work, but it's a good start.<br /><br /><object height="385" width="480"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/t8bp6mA4ssM?fs=1&hl=en_US"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/t8bp6mA4ssM?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" height="385" width="480"></embed></object>Dorseytuneshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05150640104758811144noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-267849435494925316.post-82000368165305305792010-06-26T03:14:00.000-07:002010-06-26T03:24:39.623-07:00"Harold And Garth" bathroom sceneHere's an animatic from the script I'm working on for "Harold And Garth". I know, I know, a hand drawn film? Hey, a guys gotta dream right? The drawings are rough, but I wanted to get a quick feeling of the characters and try to get the scene placement I saw in my head.<br /><br />Garth is looking for advice on girls. One girl is popular while the other is the goofy next door neighbor. There are things he likes in both of them, but he doesn't know where to start in making a good choice. Here we see Garth entering the bathroom and knocking on Harold's massive tub (he's a Hippo, they like lots of water). Anyway...enjoy!<br /><br /><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/azPCAgm-TCU&hl=en_US&fs=1&color1=0x2b405b&color2=0x6b8ab6"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/azPCAgm-TCU&hl=en_US&fs=1&color1=0x2b405b&color2=0x6b8ab6" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>Dorseytuneshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05150640104758811144noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-267849435494925316.post-59391418885206596232010-04-19T11:13:00.000-07:002010-04-19T11:14:51.989-07:00Head turn with hat! This was a great exercise in secondary movement. <br /><br /><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/cJcLPSUdAsM&hl=en_US&fs=1&color1=0x2b405b&color2=0x6b8ab6"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/cJcLPSUdAsM&hl=en_US&fs=1&color1=0x2b405b&color2=0x6b8ab6" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>Dorseytuneshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05150640104758811144noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-267849435494925316.post-74506436449699647082010-04-19T05:11:00.000-07:002010-04-19T05:16:28.445-07:00Eric Goldberg Dog Head TurnTurn that head. It took a while but it was worth seeing how smooth things look on 1s. Thanks Eric for a great book!<br /><br /><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/SDkQa3Eo8IY&hl=en_US&fs=1&color1=0x2b405b&color2=0x6b8ab6"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/SDkQa3Eo8IY&hl=en_US&fs=1&color1=0x2b405b&color2=0x6b8ab6" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>Dorseytuneshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05150640104758811144noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-267849435494925316.post-86785524001013314682010-02-07T22:30:00.000-08:002010-04-04T03:28:54.770-07:00Flying BirdI used a Don Bluth tutorial of a bird in flight to put this one together. My daughter gave me a few suggestions to make it more fun.
